Van 19 tot en met 22 juli 2018 vindt het internationale muziekfestival Welcome to the Village plaats in de Groene ster, een natuurgebied vlak buiten Leeuwarden. Meer dan zeventig acts van over de hele wereld zullen de revue passeren, van gevestigde festivalhelden tot aanstormend talent, van hiphop, indie tot wereldmuziek en alles daartussenin. In het bos- en waterrijke terrein staan er naast muziek ook theater, dans, innovatie, kunst & design en voedsel op het programma.
