We look back on an inspiring and energetic advisers’ meeting held on Thursday 19 March. Our advisers joined us at our office at Spaarneplein 2. This made the meeting extra special: it was our first advisers’ meeting in this new building.
During the meeting, we also welcomed a number of new advisers. Thanks to their diverse backgrounds and expertise, we gain new perspectives and broader insights as a fund. We are therefore pleased that they are joining our pool of advisers.
The afternoon started with a contribution by philosopher Daan Roovers, who encouraged us to reflect on judgement within an advisory committee from a fresh perspective.
During the meeting – facilitated by Maaike Muis – we engaged in discussions on current themes in the sector. In both small and larger groups, we shared ideas and experiences on topics such as international ambitions and sustainability, activism in the performing arts, the peer review system, and the role of subsidies in relation to commercial opportunities.
The conversations were open, energetic and analytically sharp. Through everyone’s contributions and the range of perspectives, the meeting provided new insights to take forward together.
