How does applying for a subsidie work?
For those applying for a grant from the Performing Arts Fund for the first time.
Applications
You can apply for a grant by completing the application form in full and submitting it before the closing date. Before completing the application form, please consult all relevant documents, such as the official regulations and guidelines for the grant in question. Almost all grants are applied for via our digital environment, My Fund.
Deadlines
The deadline is stated at the top of the page for the relevant grant scheme. If there is no deadline yet, this means that it has not been set.
The deadlines for our subsidy schemes always close at the end of the day on which the deadline is stated. For example: if the deadline is 5 September, you have until 5 September to submit your application in My Fund. The deadline closes at midnight on the night of 5 to 6 September, after which you can no longer apply.
Assessment, evaluation and decision
Once you have submitted your application, it will first be assessed to determine whether it meets the conditions. The application will then be evaluated in terms of content, usually by an advisory committee. The board of the Performing Arts Fund will then decide whether or not to approve the grant application. In most cases, you will be notified by letter within thirteen weeks – often sooner – whether your application has been approved.
Requirements
If you receive a grant from the Performing Arts Fund, you also have obligations. These depend on the type and amount of the grant. In all cases, you must state that your production, concert or festival was made possible in part by a grant from the Performing Arts Fund.
Objection
If you disagree with a decision made by the Performing Arts Fund, you can submit an objection. The deadline for doing so is six weeks.
