Yvonne studied flute and piano at the Groningen Conservatoire and Art, Culture and Media at the University of Groningen. She performed as a flutist in various ensembles and taught at the conservatoires in Enschede and Groningen, as well as at the Academy of Music Education in Leeuwarden. Over the past twenty years, she has been a classical music programmer at De Oosterpoort in Groningen, where her achievements include the creation of the wind instrument festival OnWings.
