Pieter Ventevogel began his career in the cultural sector as a venue manager for the Zeeland Late Summer Festival and Festival Cinekid. He subsequently held the position of Head of Production at the Zeelandia Theatre Production Company. Later, he worked as project manager for the Bevrijdingsfestival Zeeland and the street theatre festival Festival Onderstroom. Eventually, he became director of the Vlissingen Foundation for Art and Culture/Cultuurwerf.
Ventevogel has also produced various other cultural events, including Vlissingen Zingt, Wonderstad and Zeeland Jazz, acting as executive producer and/or event coordinator.
