Doortje Hiddema works as Head of Pop/Jazz/Global at Concertgebouw de Doelen in Rotterdam. There, she is responsible for the programming, strategy, and artistic direction of the concert hall. Previously, she was active within the programming team of TivoliVredenburg and Loose Ends, and she served as Head of Programme at the festival Welcome to the Village.
Born and raised in Groningen, she entered the music world after completing an internship with the programming department of ESNS, and has never worked in any other field since. In addition to her work, she is a member of the supervisory board of the music venue and art platform Roodkapje in Rotterdam, and the music venues Vera and Simplon in Groningen.
