1 june 2021

The Performing Arts Fund NL has appointed Johan Gijsen as intendant of the Fund programme ‘Fast Forward: talent in international context’. The programme offers talented mid-career makers the opportunity to develop their practice on the international stage.
Gijsen: “It is an honour and a pleasure to succeed Van Hulst in this role. With the rich experience and extensive network of the scouts, we will continue to promote the careers of leading Dutch talents in an international context. We help makers’ dreams come true, and it’s wonderful that I can contribute to this as intendant.”
Johan Gijsen is the director and co-founder of the Utrecht music festival Le Guess Who?. He previously worked as programmer at TivoliVredenburg and was also closely involved in the development of the festival Into The Great Wide Open.
Fast Forward
The Fund’s programme 'Fast Forward: talent in international context’ has existed since 1 January 2014.
