About

The Performing Arts Fund NL is the national culture fund for music, music theatre, dance and theatre in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. On behalf of the Dutch government the Fund provides support to all forms of the professional performing arts.

Through a range of grants and programmes the Fund aims to increase the visibility of Dutch performing arts abroad. The Fund offers several grants that support Netherlands-based artists and organisations in their international ambitions, as well as foreign-based venues that want to programme performances and concerts by Dutch companies, ensembles and performers. The Fund also organises activities for the international promotion of performing arts from the Netherlands, by facilitating and intensifying the contact between Dutch artists and international presenters.

Grants for foreign-based persons or organisations
To be able to apply for a grant at the Performing Arts Fund, the applying person or organisation must be residing in the Netherlands, with the exception of applications for the grant for composition or libretto commission and for grant for Dutch presentations abroad at the invitation of prominent international festivals and venues.

Is your organisation based outside the Netherlands and do you wish to invite Dutch companies or artists to perform at your venue or festival? Those companies and artists can apply for a grant to cover their costs of travel, transport and visa. Please refer them to our page about the snelloket (in Dutch) for more information.
