Cookie Statement

In this cookie statement, we explain which cookies we use and how you can manage them.

What cookies do we use?

This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the device used to visit the website when you visit it.

Cookies are used to support the functioning of the website, to remember settings and preferences, and to analyse the use of the website.

We use only functional, analytical and tracking cookies that are necessary for the website and its associated services to function properly. No marketing cookies are placed.

Functional cookies (essential)

Functional cookies are essential for the website to work properly. For example, they ensure that pages are displayed correctly (navigation and layout), that your preferences (such as language settings) are remembered, and that the website’s security features are supported.

No consent is required for these cookies.

Analytical cookies (consent required)

Analytical cookies are used to analyse the use of our website. This provides us with insights into, amongst other things, the number of visitors, the duration of visits, which pages are viewed most frequently, and where any technical issues may arise. We use this information solely to optimise our website and make it more user-friendly.

To analyse the use of this website, we use the web behaviour tracking tool and Matomo Analytics. These tools track web statistics, and this information enables us to adapt the website and our services. The information from these tools cannot be traced back to individual visitors. IP addresses are anonymised and data is not shared with third parties.

Tracking cookies (consent required)

We use various cookies that enable us to track user behaviour across multiple pages (such as regeling_view, quick_scan_start, download_click, mijn_fonds_click). This creates a visitor profile, consisting of linked behavioural data and device information (IP address).

These tracking cookies are used to gain insight into navigation and orientation, to understand the user journey, to analyse and determine the behaviour of a specific target group (new/returning, region, area of interest), to assess the effectiveness of functionalities, and to build a user profile (IP address, device type, click behaviour and page interactions).

The visitor profiles are expressly not used to display targeted advertisements or to send marketing communications.

Customise and manage cookies

When you visit this website for the first time, you will see our cookie notice. Once you have made a choice, the cookie notice will not appear again.

We do not retain data obtained via cookies for longer than is necessary for the purposes described above. Matomo cookies and associated statistics are retained within the standard retention periods applicable to Matomo.

You can manage your cookies via the web browser you are using. The method for doing so varies depending on the browser and device you are using. If you set your browser to refuse all cookies, this may result in (some parts of) the website not functioning optimally. You can also opt out of Matomo or third-party cookies for external content.
