Regular guests at the festival; choreographer duo Guy Weizman and Roni Haver have built a reputation for neck-breaking, dynamic works. In 2015, they return to Hanover with eleven dancers and actors, three live musicians, and their brand new production Phobia. Phobia takes on one of the most archaic feelings known to humanity. How can we control our fear of the unknown and face others with openness? Drawing on various texts by international thinkers, Phobia is a fearless danced homage to reason and the courage that manages to overcome fear. The ensemble is composed of members of the choreographers’ own 'Club' in Groningen and the Slovenian dance company EnKnapGroup. The musicians are from the Dutch ensemble Slagwerk Den Haag and they will set a driving rhythm that leaves few pauses for breath.
