As of mid-July 2022, Annemieke Keurentjes will be joining the Performing Arts Fund NL as Secretary for Internationalisation. Annemieke currently works as Holland Festival’s Programming Director for Theatre and Dance, having previously fulfilled various (policy-focused) roles in the performing arts world. She has also held ancillary positions as an administrator and advisor in the wider field.
Viktorien van Hulst: “With Annemieke Keurentjes taking up this position, the Fund will welcome significant experience on the topic of internationalisation and gain access to a global network. Through her work as a scout for the Fast Forward programme, the Fund has gotten to know Annemieke as a driven professional who is passionate about the development of performing artists in an international context. We look forward to working alongside her in helping Dutch creators, artists and performers discover meaningful collaborations abroad.”

Annemieke Keurentjes: “I look forward to facilitating international opportunities and exchange in the performing arts field. Changes brought on by the climate crisis and the pandemic ask for creative new ways of collaboration. It will also involve taking advantage of the possibilities provided by the ‘new normal’, in consultation with other stakeholders in the field.”

As Secretary for Internationalisation, Annemieke will be responsible for the content of international subsidies, programmes and projects, as well as taking charge of international promotion. She’ll pay particular attention to developing these areas in a mutually sustainable way, both with regard to one another and in relation to the Dutch performing arts field as a whole.

Annemieke will also collaborate with Programme Managers in our International Promotion department (previously known as Dutch Performing Arts) to improve the presence and visibility of Dutch performing arts abroad.

Driving international connection
The Performing Arts Fund NL is the Netherlands’ national culture fund for music, music theatre, dance, theatre and festivals. Acting on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, the Fund supports professional performing arts in all its forms.

The Dutch performing arts are inextricably linked to their international counterparts. Creators, companies, venues and festivals each establish countless connections with foreign partners. The Performing Arts Fund NL stimulates these connections in various ways. In line with international cultural policy set out by the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, Culture and Science, the Fund offers subsidies and programmes that support performing arts activities.
